Paula Berwanger

Paula Berwanger is a Brazilian-Spanish actress raised in Tokyo, with international stage and screen experience. She has played leading roles in New York, Rio de Janeiro, and Japan, spanning classical theater and contemporary film and television. Her stage credits include Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), Oleanna (Carol), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia), The Importance of Being Earnest (Gwendolen), and Monteverdi’s The Coronation of Poppea.

On screen, Paula has appeared in productions for HBO, WOWOW, NHK, Fuji TV, U-NEXT, Grupo Globo, and more. She trained in the Meisner Technique at the William Esper Studio in New York, completed a directing program at Yale University, and studied Shakespeare with Remo Airaldi at Harvard. Paula regularly teaches the Meisner Technique and has lectured in acting and directing at the International College of Liberal Arts at Yamanashi Gakuin University.
